Shin Bet chief met Channel 14 presenter amid family ties revelation
Channel 14 presenter Yaakov Berdugo met with Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar at agency headquarters to push for an investigation into Channel 12 over information security concerns. A Shin Bet official who attended the meeting is a first-degree relative of a Channel 14 journalist, i24NEWS has learned. Bar recently reversed his position and requested Attorney General approval to investigate the leak, despite previously telling cabinet ministers there was no legal justification. No change in evidence prompted the shift. The Shin Bet declined to comment.
