Trump says US will seize and manage Strait of Hormuz, charge for protection

President Trump stated the US will seize control of the Strait of Hormuz in response to Iran's attempts to control the waterway. Trump said the US will manage the strait and receive compensation for doing so, claiming America protected it for 50 years without payment. "We protected the strait for free, but now we will make money from it," Trump said, adding "We will become the guardians of the strait, and when we do so—we will be compensated for it."
