U.S. Envoy Tom Barrack: "Trump Seeks Regional Stabilit",

During his visit to Beirut, U.S. envoy Tom Barrack stated, “The reason for my return to Lebanon is President Trump’s desire to achieve regional stability, and Lebanon is part of that equation. We need to focus on Lebanon today to restore stability and security to the region. The ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel has failed, and we are trying to address that.” On the issue of Hezbollah’s disarmament, Barrack emphasized, “The agreement to disarm Hezbollah is a strictly internal matter. For the U.S., Hezbollah is a foreign terrorist organization — this is not our issue. We are trying to assist, guide, and bring all parties closer together, but we cannot force Israel to take any action.”
