Drivers Flee Fire on Foot on Highway 1 After Abandoning Vehicles

Drivers have begun abandoning their vehicles on Highway 1, with some even driving against traffic to escape the wildfires raging in the Jerusalem Hills. The Israel Fire and Rescue Service added that nine people were rescued from vehicles after being caught in heavy smoke. Three cars and a truck are burning in the area, and several individuals have been injured due to smoke inhalation. (Liran Tamari)
