FM Gideon Sa’ar Slams France-UK-Canada Statement at World Jewish Congress: “We Will Not Accept Foreign Dictates”

Speaking at the World Jewish Congress in Jerusalem, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar strongly criticized the joint statement by France, the UK, and Canada, tying it directly to President Macron’s unilateral initiative to recognize a Palestinian state in June. "This statement is entirely aligned with Macron’s push for unilateral recognition. The current reality is being exploited to promote that agenda," Sa’ar said. He also revealed that during the war, President Macron barred Israeli participation in exhibitions in Paris, calling it a form of sanctions. "To every nation, especially those with a colonial past — we are a free, independent, and proud nation fighting for its existence. We will not accept foreign dictates regarding our national security," he declared.
