Report: Mohammed Sinwar Killed in Israeli Strike, Hamas Notified Family Two Days Ago

Two Palestinian sources confirmed to Saudi newspaper Asharq Al-Awsat that senior Hamas commander Mohammed Sinwar was killed in an Israeli airstrike last week in Khan Younis, along with several other senior militants. According to the report, Hamas informed Sinwar’s family of his death two days ago and also notified the families of additional commanders killed in the same strike. The sources said that Hamas’s military leadership dispatched a special unit into the collapsed tunnel at the scene to search through the rubble. The unit reportedly located the bodies and confirmed the identities of Sinwar and other top operatives.
