Turkish FM Slams Israel Over Syria
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan issued a scathing statement Monday, accusing Israel of actively opposing the territorial unity of Syria. “Israel is not interested in a united Syria,” Fidan declared, warning that Ankara views any attempt to partition Syria as a direct threat to Turkish national security. Fidan also took aim at senior Syrian Druze figure Hikmat al-Hijri, referring to him as “acting like an Israeli collaborator,” amid reports of renewed dialogue between Israel and elements within the Syrian regime.
