MKs Sign Petition Calling for Unrestricted Jewish Access to Joseph’s Tomb

Even before the upcoming Knesset vote on extending Israeli sovereignty, a political push is building around a symbolic flashpoint: Joseph’s Tomb in Nablus. According to Knesset correspondent Daphna Liel, 62 ministers and members of Knesset have signed a petition led by Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan and MK Tzvi Succot, calling for full and unrestricted Jewish access to the contested site. The tomb, revered by Jews as the burial place of the biblical patriarch Joseph, has long been a source of friction between Israelis and Palestinians in Judea and Samaria.
