Hamas Hardens Stance in Hostage Talks, No Progress

Despite a wave of cautious optimism surrounding hostage and ceasefire negotiations with Hamas in Qatar, two senior Israeli officials told Amit Segal that talks have hit a wall. Far from advancing, Hamas has stiffened its positions across key issues, from Israeli withdrawal lines to the number of hostages to be released and even demands to end U.S. aid to Israel.
