Man Killed in Paragliding Crash Off Netanya Coast

A man in his 50s was killed after his motorized paraglider crashed from a significant height into the sea near Argaman Beach in Netanya. Beachgoers pulled the man from the water unconscious and without vital signs, suffering from severe multi-system trauma. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) were called to the scene and, after performing medical assessments, were forced to declare his death. Maor Nino, a senior medic with MDA’s motorcycle unit, said: “This was a very serious incident. Witnesses at the beach told us the parachute fell from a height of around 20 meters into the water. They pulled the injured man to shore—he was unconscious, had no pulse or breathing, and suffered severe multi-system injuries.” “They immediately called MDA’s 101 emergency hotline and were guided through basic resuscitation efforts, but his injuries were critical, and after several assessments, we had no choice but to pronounce him dead.”
