IDF soldier was seriously injured on base in central Israel

A soldier was seriously injured this morning after being trapped in a malfunctioning elevator at the Air Force headquarters in the Kirya. The soldier attempted to pry open the stuck elevator doors when the elevator suddenly plummeted downward.The soldier was evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital and his family has been notified. Following the incident, a Military Police investigation has been opened. Upon its completion, the findings will be transferred to the Military Prosecution for review.
