Israel Rejects UK PM’s Statement on Palestinian Recognition

Israel’s Foreign Ministry issued a stern response to remarks by the British Prime Minister, rejecting what it described as a policy shift by the UK government. “Israel rejects the statement by the British Prime Minister,” the ministry said. “The UK government’s change in position at this time—following the French initiative and due to internal political pressure—serves as a reward for Hamas and undermines efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza and secure a deal for the release of hostages.”
