Lawyers for Yoseph Haddad: “This Wasn’t a Road Dispute"

Attorneys Efraim and Chovav Damari, representing pro-Israel activist Yoseph Haddad, issued a statement Wednesday pushing back against media portrayals of the firearm incident that occurred during a roadside altercation in Tel Aviv. “This was not a ‘road argument’ as reported in the press,” the statement reads, “but a violent assault driven by racism and hatred against Yoseph Haddad.” According to the lawyers, the assailant, an Arab man, recognized Haddad, verbally attacked him with slurs, threatened his life, spat at him, and physically assaulted him before the weapon was discharged. The incident, which ended without injuries, remains under investigation. Police forces arrived quickly on the scene, and Haddad was taken in for questioning. Haddad, a prominent Arab-Israeli commentator and IDF veteran, is well known for his outspoken defense of Israel in Arabic-language media and on social platforms.
