Hezbollah Leaders to Meet Lebanese President and Army Chief Following Disarmament Call

In a historic move, Lebanon’s President Joseph Aoun publicly endorsed a timetable for the disarmament of all militias, explicitly calling on Hezbollah to hand over its weapons. Following the speech, Lebanon's Al-Jadeed TV reports that Hezbollah parliamentary leader Mohammad Raad is expected at the presidential palace in Baabda, while senior Hezbollah figure Wafiq Safa, who survived an Israeli assassination attempt in October, will meet with Lebanese Armed Forces Commander Rudolf Heikal.
