Iran to form new security council in wake of 12-day war with Israel

Iranian state media report the regime will establish a new national security council in response to what it calls the “most serious military challenge since the Iran-Iraq War.” The body, to be headed by President Mahmoud Pezeshkian alongside top military and government officials, will review defense plans and bolster Iran’s strategic capabilities following the recent Israel-Iran conflict.
