IDF Targets Hamas Weapons Site
The Israel Defense Forces announced it had carried out a series of strikes across Gaza City, targeting Hamas weapons infrastructure and operatives in what it described as a coordinated operation aimed at reducing future attacks on Israeli forces. In the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, the IDF said it struck a Hamas weapons production and storage facility using precision-guided munitions. According to the military, prior evacuation warnings were issued to minimize civilian casualties. Further north, the 215th Artillery Regiment shelled a site used to launch mortar fire on an IDF post. No injuries were reported in that incident. Elsewhere in Gaza City, a drone strike directed by the 401st Armored Brigade reportedly killed approximately 10 Hamas terrorists in the Daraj and Tuffah districts, where ongoing surveillance had identified terror activity. The IDF said additional infrastructure belonging to Hamas was destroyed in follow-up strikes, with more operatives eliminated in separate engagements. The operation comes amid ongoing fighting in Gaza and follows repeated attacks on IDF positions in the area.
