Al-Qassam Brigades Praise Their Soldiers for “Sacrifices"

The military wing of Hamas, the Al-Qassam Brigades, issued a statement acknowledging the efforts of unnamed soldiers, described as part of a “shadow unit,” who were responsible for guarding hostages over the course of the two-year-long “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation. According to the statement, the soldiers operated under “extremely complex circumstances,” making every effort and “shedding their blood” to ensure that Hamas’s promise to free its own captives was fulfilled.
