Hamas Affirms Commitment to Ceasefire Amid Rafah Unrest

Hamas issued a statement today reaffirming its full commitment to implementing all agreed terms, foremost among them the ceasefire across the Gaza Strip. The organization said it has no knowledge of events or clashes in the Rafah area, describing it as a “red zone” under Israeli control. Hamas added that its connection with other groups in the area has been severed since the resumption of hostilities in March and that it cannot confirm the status of any fighters there. The group emphasized that it has no means to communicate with its personnel in these zones.
