Palestinian Islamic Jihad Denounces IDF Strike in Nuseirat

Hours after the Israel Defense Forces announced the targeted killing of a Palestinian Islamic Jihad operative in Nuseirat, the group released a statement condemning the attack. “The claim by the Israeli army that members of the PIJ’s military wing in Nuseirat were planning an operation is false and serves only to justify its strike and the violation of the ceasefire,” the statement read. “We call on mediators to take responsibility, uphold their commitments to the ceasefire, and compel the Israeli army to halt these attacks that lead to retaliatory responses.”
