High-Risk Offender Arrested After Entering Mikvah with Minors

A high-risk supervised offender was arrested this morning (Monday) after entering a mikvah in which minors were present—just 24 hours after being released from custody. According to the Israel Prison Service, officers from the Tzur supervision unit in the Alternatives to Incarceration Division conducted continuous operational monitoring from the moment the offender was released yesterday. During a focused operation early this morning, unit officers observed the man entering a mikvah where minors were bathing. The officers immediately entered the facility and arrested him on the spot. The suspect was transferred to a Jerusalem police station for questioning on suspicion of violating his supervision order and committing additional offenses. The Israel Prison Service stated: “The IPS operates with determination and professionalism to protect the public and prevent offenses by released offenders.”
