Iranian Parliament Speaker threatens to destroy regional energy infrastructure

Mohammad Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, issued a direct threat following Trump's ultimatum, stating that "immediately after power stations and infrastructure in Iran are attacked, critical infrastructure and energy and oil infrastructure throughout the region will be considered legitimate targets and will be irreversibly destroyed." Ghalibaf, described as a prominent figure leading Iran after Larijani's elimination, reinforced earlier threats from Iranian news agency Mehr to target energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE. He warned that oil prices "will be higher for a long time."
