IDF Chief of Staff approves plans for expanded ground operations in Lebanon
IDF Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir approved plans for advancing targeted ground operations in Lebanon during a meeting Saturday with division and brigade commanders. Zamir stated that operations against Hezbollah "have only begun" and described it as a prolonged campaign. He said Iran remains the primary effort while the northern arena is an additional central front, calling Hezbollah a key Iranian proxy that made a grave mistake joining the campaign against Israel. The IDF reports striking over 2,000 targets in recent weeks, including dozens of weapons facilities, and eliminating hundreds of terrorists.
