Beirut mayor threatens to expel displaced Shiites after Israeli strike

The mayor of Al-Hazmiya in Beirut, Jean Al-Asmar, announced he is preparing to expel displaced Shiites from the neighborhood following an Israeli airstrike on the area. Al-Asmar stated: "We received the displaced in our area with open arms, but after today's attack we are forced to make decisions." The announcement follows an Israeli strike that targeted an apartment in Hazmiya, which the IDF said killed an operative of the Iranian Quds Force.
