Likud coalition chairman condemns racism, defends party amid controversy

Likud faction and coalition chairman Ofir Katz has issued a statement calling remarks published by journalist Amit Segal "extremely serious." Katz defended the Likud movement as "distinguished" with "excellent Knesset members" and praised Prime Minister Netanyahu's leadership, stating it was "good that he remained after October 7th." He asserted the remarks do not reflect Netanyahu's views and declared: "We are fed up with racism directed toward the Likud movement, its representatives, and its voters. Anyone who dares to speak in such a manner has no place in the Likud."
