IAEA confirms severe damage to Iran's heavy water facility in Arak
The International Atomic Energy Agency confirms that Iran's heavy water production facility in Khondab sustained severe damage in the March 27 attack and is no longer operational. Based on satellite imagery analysis, the IAEA verified the facility, which contains no declared nuclear material, was struck by Israeli forces. Heavy water is used to operate nuclear reactors, including the inactive Arak reactor.
