IDF Strikes Air Defense Sites Near Caspian Sea, 1,600 km from Israel
The IDF struck air defense systems near the Caspian Sea in northern Iran, over 1,600 kilometers from Israeli territory, as part of Sunday's wave of strikes. The Israeli Air Force targeted a site concealed in a forested area where Iranian air defense systems had been deployed. According to the IDF, the systems posed a threat to Israeli aircraft and the strikes expand the Air Force's aerial superiority over Iranian airspace. The operation was conducted based on IDF intelligence.
