US Ambassador: Israel informed Washington of Iranian plot to assassinate Trump
US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee revealed in an interview that Israel informed the United States about an Iranian plan to assassinate President Trump. Huckabee stated that threats from Iran are not new and its conduct has not changed, adding the US sees no concrete evidence of a moderate camp in Iran. On Lebanon, the ambassador said Hezbollah poses a direct threat to the United States and is a common enemy of Lebanon and Israel. He noted Israel seeks full withdrawal from Lebanon, with the Lebanese army gradually assuming security responsibility in the south. Huckabee said halting Iranian assistance to Hezbollah will also weaken Hamas and the Houthis.
