US Conducts Multiple Strikes in Iran, Reimpose Naval Blockade in Hormuz Strait
The US military reimposed a naval blockade on Iran in the Hormuz Strait and conducted strikes across multiple Iranian locations for approximately seven hours. Targets included sites in Sistan and Baluchestan Province, where an Iranian army base was hit with reports of 10-15 soldiers killed, as well as locations in Kurdistan region, Khuzestan Province, and several southern coastal areas including Qeshm Island, Bandar Abbas, and Chabahar. This marks the first strikes in the Kurdistan region since a ceasefire. Iran reportedly responded with attacks in Jordan, Kuwait, and Bahrain, but has not struck the UAE, Saudi Arabia, or Israel.
