Yemeni forces capture key positions along Red Sea coast in Operation Yemen Dawn

Yemeni government forces captured Dhubab Airport and Al Omari Base along Yemen's western coast on October 5, with fighting now reaching Mokha. The Dhubab to Mokha road has been cut, with Houthi forces reportedly surrounded in Dhubab. Houthis are advancing around Taiz, capturing Al Turbah and pushing toward Al Nashma, threatening the Taiz to Aden route. Government forces are also advancing in Marib and Al Jawf under heavy Saudi air cover, with around 100 aircraft reportedly involved in operations. Mokha has become a key battlefield; its loss would threaten the Houthis' remaining position along the southern Red Sea coast and Bab el Mandeb.
