Israeli Air Force Strikes Sanaa Airport, Destroys Last Houthi Aircraft

The Israeli Air Force conducted a targeted strike on Sanaa International Airport, destroying the last operational aircraft used by the Houthi terrorist organization, according to Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz. The attack, part of Operation "Golden Jewel," targeted terrorist infrastructure at the airport, delivering a significant blow to the Houthis’ capabilities.

The IAF performed a "knock on the roof" before striking the aircraft. Civilians in the area fled, and then the strike was carried out.

The aircraft belonged to the company "Yemenia." Although it is usually stationed in Jordan, it landed in Yemen today, and the strike was carried out half an hour later. More than ten aircraft participated in the operation.

In a statement issued, Katz emphasized that the strike is part of Israel’s firm policy: “Anyone who fires at the State of Israel will pay a heavy price.” He vowed that Yemen’s ports and strategic infrastructure, including Sanaa Airport, would face repeated destruction if used by the Houthis and their supporters. Katz also reaffirmed Israel’s commitment to imposing a naval and air blockade on the Houthi organization, stating, “Whoever harms us will be harmed sevenfold.”
