Moshe Feiglin files police complaint after ambush threat video

The Zehut party announced Wednesday evening that it has filed an urgent complaint with the Israel Police following a video that it says circulated on social media calling for setting an ambush, physically harming, taking revenge on and punishing party chairman and former MK Moshe Feiglin.

According to the party's statement, the video was distributed after Feiglin ascended to Har HaBayis this morning, and follows additional online responses that Zehut says included incitement against him. The party connected the threats to positions Feiglin has been presenting as part of Zehut's election campaign ahead of the Knesset elections.

The party described the publication as "crossing a dangerous red line" and announced that it had decided to turn urgently to the police as a result.

Zehut stated: "Our enemies did not by chance call the October 7 attack 'Al-Aqsa Flood.' They understand exactly what this war is being fought over. Har HaBayis is the focal point of the battle and the heart of Israeli sovereignty, and any display of weakness or concession on it is perceived as an invitation for continued terror and threats."

Feiglin himself addressed the threats and made clear they would not change his positions. "The threats and calls for an ambush will not deter us. The root of the struggle for our existence begins at Har HaBayis, the place most sacred to the Jewish people, and that is also where our sovereignty is decided."

According to him, "It is impossible to accept a reality in which extremist elements threaten and try to silence public representatives who present the simple and clear truth without fear."

At the end of his remarks, Feiglin demanded that the police act following the publications: "We demand that the Israel Police act immediately, lay hands on the inciters, and make unequivocally clear who is the sovereign and master of this land."
