Ukrainian Captures Rare Footage of Ballistic Missiles Striking Kyiv

Unusual video footage circulating on Ukrainian social media channels shows the direct impact of ballistic missiles in central Kyiv during a nighttime Russian assault.

The video, recorded from a residential apartment window, captures intense orange-red flashes illuminating the sky as powerful explosions rock the area. The person filming can be heard speaking in Ukrainian while seeking shelter from the heavy blasts.

The combined attack, which involved ballistic missiles and dozens of drones, claimed the lives of at least three people and injured dozens more. The powerful explosions sparked widespread fires and caused extensive damage throughout the city. At least 14 residential buildings, schools, and municipal infrastructure sustained serious damage.

The heavy bombardment marked the end of a brief pause in strikes on the capital. The Russian offensive began just hours after special envoys from the U.S. administration departed the region. Meanwhile, Ukrainian military sources reported retaliatory strikes targeting Russian infrastructure and military installations.
