Carney warned that the regime in Tehran continues to pose a grave danger to global stability, and specifically emphasized the existential threat Israel faces from the ayatollahs' regime.
Speaking at a press conference at UN headquarters, the Canadian leader underscored the severity of the situation in the Middle East. According to Carney, the danger emanating from Iran is not confined to the regional sphere but represents a top-tier global challenge. He noted that the Iranian threat ranks among the greatest threats in the current world order.
In his direct reference to regional security, Carney stated clearly: "For example, there still exists a threat, an existential threat to Israel, caused by Iran and its allies." He added and emphasized that "this still exists. It is unacceptable, it will never be acceptable for Iran to possess the offensive power of nuclear bombs."
The statement represents a notably strong declaration in favor of Israel, particularly coming from a prominent left-wing figure.
