The Moriah Station of the Jerusalem District Police recently conducted an investigation following cases of theft of mezuzahs from residential buildings in the neighborhoods of Beit Vagan and Kiryat Menachem in the south of the city of Jerusalem.

As part of the investigation, a variety of investigative and covert intelligence operations were carried out, with the aim of locating those involved in the act. Last night (Sunday) the detectives of the Moriah station carried out an undercover operation.

Meanwhile, the suspect (57) was seen leaving his house in the south of the city towards its center, joining another suspect (54). Together, the two entered a Jewish art business, where they sold the stolen mezuzahs in their possession. As soon as the sale was completed, the detectives arrested the two suspects in the act.

The stores who bought the stolen mezuzahs should be fined as well as punishing the suspects who were arrested.
