Israel's ambassador to Germany, Ron Prosor, has issued a stark warning about the security situation facing the country's Jewish community, pointing to threats emerging from opposite ends of the political spectrum. In a public statement, Prosor expressed deep concern over political developments that are placing Germany's Jews in danger.
"I fear for Jewish life here, which is under real threat," the ambassador said. He identified two primary sources of concern: the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which is achieving record levels of electoral support, and the far-left Die Linke party, which he accused of spreading incitement calling for violence against Jews and Israelis in central Berlin under the guise of "legitimate political discourse."
