The Jewish-American star of "Nobody Wants This" sparked fury with his remarks on the war. A prominent marketer slammed the show's silence, and viewers are already saying: We won't watch next season.

A storm is building in the American entertainment world and Jewish community: calls to boycott the hit Netflix series "Nobody Wants This" are spreading online after the show's star, Jewish-American actor Adam Brody, said that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.

Communications and marketing executive Lindsey Pinchuk posted a video Wednesday night that went viral, in which she sharply criticised Brody and the silence of the Jewish creators and actors working alongside him. "The lead character in the series said something that contradicts everything the show represents and every reason the Jewish community embraced it," Finchuk wrote. "My colleagues and I, who are ordinary citizens, risk so much every day to hold people accountable when they say things that harm the Jewish community. We all need to be judged by the same standards."

The post drew heated responses, including from actress Debra Messing, who wrote "Thank you," and from series star Tovah Feldshuh. Feldshuh clarified in a reply: "I am not silent, my dear. I have made my point of view very clear. Adam Brody is a beloved colleague and I speak with him privately. Look at my Instagram. I am fighting global antisemitism, that is the big fight."

Many commenters expressed deep disappointment and announced they would not watch the next season. "Nobody wants Adam Brody, he needs to feel our anger," one wrote. Another added: "He has no connection to Judaism or to Israel, he just plays a Jew on television to make a pile of money. I can never support him again."

The organisation End Jew Hatred said it had reached out to the actor following his remarks, but he did not respond.
