Against the backdrop of historic riots and disturbances that swept France over Shabbos, journalist Paul Amar shed light on a CNews broadcast on the extent of advance organization among the rioters. According to him, the events raise serious questions about the level of preparation and intelligence the participants possessed.
"They had the exact addresses"
Amar revealed that the rioters had precise preparation and a clear target, noting that they held particularly sensitive addresses. The journalist disclosed that the demonstrators possessed the address of the district prefect, whose home was attacked and set ablaze. In addition, he noted that they held addresses of other district administrative buildings.
Reading between the lines, the journalist appeared to suggest the possibility that official elements on the far left passed those addresses to the rioters.
Targeted marking of businesses in Marseille
But the most disturbing part of the journalist's remarks was the Jewish connection to the riots that took place in France.
He says he received information this morning that on one street in Marseille, all businesses owned by Jews were set on fire and damaged, while businesses on the same street owned by Muslims were not harmed at all.
These facts, according to Amar, point to "a degree of preparation that raises heavy question marks," as he emphasized that intelligence and security services were aware of the information and conditions on the ground in advance.
