Israeli security services are investigating a serious security breach involving a 19-year-old from Kafr Qasim who serves as a firefighter at a central Israel fire station that provides emergency services to multiple communities. The suspect was arrested approximately one month ago on suspicion of advancing terrorist activity and planning a series of attacks, according to a report by Lee Ayash on i24news.

According to the investigation's findings, at least one of the planned attacks was to be carried out at a strategic site the suspect accessed as part of his firefighting duties. Investigators also discovered that he had established contact with Hamas operatives and with a figure identified with Iranian intelligence.

The suspect allegedly attempted to establish a terror cell and recruit two additional acquaintances from Kafr Qasim to join it. The two were arrested and held in custody for approximately two weeks, but authorities have not yet assembled sufficient evidence to file indictments against them.

During a raid on the suspect's home, security forces seized airsoft weapons and extensive training equipment. Following roughly one month in detention, an indictment is expected to be filed against him tomorrow.
