At Tiferet HaLevi Yeshiva in Elad, students returned from Kol Nidrei services to discover that a thief had exploited the holiest hours of the year to burglarize their dormitory.
The students were shocked to find every light in the dormitory on, a clear sign that an intruder had been moving through the building while they were in prayer. As they checked their rooms, the full scope of the theft became apparent.
The burglar had systematically worked his way through the dormitory while the entire student body was in the beit midrash. He stole varying amounts of cash from different rooms, 1,600 shekels here, 2,000 there, along with smaller sums of 100 and 150 shekels from other students.
