Likud MK Moshe Saada has launched a sharp attack on the possibility that chareidi parties might cooperate with Arab parties, calling the very idea "a desecration of Hashem's name" and warning of serious electoral consequences.
In an interview on Yoman Layla, Saada told Ziv Maor and Menachem Mann that even considering such cooperation is, in his view, a chillul Hashem, and he cautioned that it could hurt the chareidi parties badly in the next election.
"It's a chillul Hashem that it even enters the minds of the chareidim to go with the Arabs," Saada said at the opening of his remarks.
The MK went on to attack the possibility of cooperation with representatives of the Joint List, attributing to them positions that, he said, make political partnership impossible.
"We're talking about people who are fighting our children, and we must not give legitimacy to these terror supporters," he claimed.
Saada then turned to the Joint List's platform, laying out his reasons for opposing any chareidi alliance with it.
"Anyone who reads the Joint List platform understands that these are people who claim the State of Israel is carrying out a massacre and who demand the release of all Palestinian prisoners," he said.
