Knesset Elections

Publisher to Netanyahu: "It's over"

Rotem Sela, founder of Sela Meir publishing house, calls on the prime minister to accept the Knesset election results and form a broad Zionist government, even as foreign interference is investigated

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Rotem Sela, founder and CEO of Sela Meir publishing house, called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Wednesday to accept the results of the 26th Knesset elections and work to establish a broad Zionist government, while continuing to investigate suspicions of foreign interference and election disruption.

In a post on social media, Sela wrote: "The story of these elections is over. They are sealed. Stop dealing with it. It is harmful and unnecessary. Crimes were committed, perhaps terrible crimes and attempts by evil foreign kingdoms to disrupt Israeli politics in order to destroy the state."

He added, however, that "the way to fight these attempts at disruption is not a campaign to undermine confidence in the elections in the name of justice, but political elevation to the magnitude of the hour and extending a hand to the change camp."

"The Palestinian bloc will win only if hatred, ego and narcissism around the small differences between Likud and the Zionist parties continue to prevail over the clear national interest: working together," Sela wrote.

"Netanyahu understands the magnitude of the challenge. He would do well to announce in advance to the public, to his voters and to the opposition leaders the obvious, the answer to the attack on our sovereignty infrastructure is unity. The same forces that won the war of October 7 can handle this challenge too, and any challenge in fact."

Sela concluded: "The basic lines of a 'full' national-Zionist government will be formulated together by the parties whose voters are united around a burning faith in the national project. The division of roles will be carried out accordingly, with full partnership in leading the state."

"Except for parties that have difficulty condemning the murderers of Jews, no party will be boycotted. The era of boycotts is over. This new leadership, whose voters enlisted and led the most complex campaign Israel has known since the War of Independence, will lead the building of the next floor of the Zionist project. Together we will dismantle the threat posed by the Palestinian bloc, which seeks to create an autonomy of terror and hatred that will lead to October 7 from within. Together we will win. Stop whining. Start building."
