Man, 21, stabbed in Bnei Brak attack

A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen on Chulda HaNevi'a Street in Bnei Brak Thursday afternoon and evacuated to Sheba Medical Center in moderate condition. Police have opened an investigation.

Violent incident in Bnei Brak

A 21-year-old man was stabbed in the abdomen in a violent incident on Chulda HaNevi'a Street in Bnei Brak Thursday afternoon. The first report of the wounded man reached emergency dispatch centers at 5:05 p.m., bringing large forces of medical and rescue personnel to the scene.

Medics and paramedics from Magen David Adom and Ichud Hatzalah who arrived at the scene found the young man suffering from a penetrating abdominal wound.

Shimon Shemoni, Elchanan Martziano and Naftali Levi, Ichud Hatzalah medics, reported from the scene: "We were told he was injured in a violent incident. We provided him with initial medical treatment at the scene, and he was then evacuated in an intensive-care ambulance to Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer, suffering from a penetrating abdominal wound and in moderate condition."

Israel Police have not yet released official details on the circumstances of the incident or the background to the attack, but police forces have begun searches and an investigation to locate those involved.
