Watch: 13-Year Old Boy Becomes First Ever Human Player to "Beat" Tetris

Willis Gibson, otherwise known as Blue Scuti, was the first Tetris player to reach what's known as the "kill screen" in Tetris, reaching a point in the game where the code starts to glitch or hit a dead end.

A 13-year old Tetris player named Willis Gibson, or "Blue Scuti" online, has officially beaten the game, a feat previously only accomplished through hacking the software or using AI.

Tetris is one of the most well-known and beloved video games in the world, and has even been the subject of a feature film. Until recently, though, even the best players in the world could only outlast other players, not beat the game itself by achieving what is known as a "true killscreen" beyond which the game cannot advance due to glitches or limits in the game's code.

Until now.
