Baruch Dayan HaEmes: Rebbetzin Tamar Pinchassi a"h, wife of HaGaon Rav Betzalel Pinchassi shlita, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Birchas Ephraim, passed away at 76 after a prolonged and difficult illness.
She was born in Afghanistan on 12 Teves 5710 to her father Rav Ephraim Aharonov z"l. When she reached marriageable age, she married her husband, HaGaon Rav Betzalel Pinchassi shlita, rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Birchas Ephraim.
Throughout their decades of marriage, she stood at her husband's side, enabling him to immerse himself in his vast Torah learning, to spread Torah, and to raise thousands of talmidim. When her husband established Yeshivas Birchas Ephraim HaSephardi, named in memory of her father z"l, she stood beside him as the true "mother of the yeshiva," attending to every need of the institution and to each individual student with genuine self-sacrifice.
She leaves behind a blessed generation of upright descendants, sons and daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren, disseminators of Torah and yiras Shamayim: her husband the rosh yeshiva, and yblch"t twelve children, sons and daughters.
The funeral will take place today (Sunday, first day of Chol HaMoed Sukkos): at 3:00 PM it will depart from Yeshivas Birchas Ephraim for younger students, at 9 Rav Sorotzkin Street in Bnei Brak. At 4:30 PM it will continue at the plaza of Har HaMenuchos cemetery in Yerushalayim, where she will be laid to rest.
