Ali al-Bukhaiti, a former spokesman for the Iran-backed Houthis, stated that eliminating the militia is "a common goal for Israel and Saudi Arabia, and the entire Arab and Muslim world," according to open-source intelligence reports.
"I don't see anything wrong with cooperating with Israel on this issue," al-Bukhaiti declared. The remarks signal a rare public acknowledgment from within Houthi circles that regional interests may align against the group, which has fired missiles at both Israel and Saudi Arabia throughout the conflict. The Houthis struck Riyadh and an Aramco facility in September, and earlier knocked a Saudi oil pipeline offline with missile fire.
