Customers of British fashion retailer ASOS around the world, including in Israel, received an unusual push notification on their phones Tuesday from hackers claiming to have breached the company's systems and threatening to leak users' personal information.
The notification that appeared on users' phones opened with the message "ASOS HACKED," followed by a direct threat to the company. "To the attention of the DPO and IT team at ASOS, we have fully compromised your Snowflake account," the threatening message read. "Contact us, or we will leak it." The notification included a link to a Telegram chat.
