Attempted stabbing attack at Western Galilee police station foiled, suspect arrested

A 23-year-old man from Jadeidi-Makr attempted to stab a Border Police officer at the entrance to the Western Galilee police station early this morning around 5:30 a.m. The suspect arrived at the station entrance, exited his vehicle, and charged at the officer with a knife. The officer quickly overpowered and neutralized the attacker on the spot. The knife was seized and the suspect was arrested for questioning. A decision on extending his detention will be made following the investigation.
