Attorney General announces enforcement actions against yeshiva students evading military draft

Attorney General convened a discussion on enforcement against yeshiva students who do not enlist in the IDF. An agreement has been reached between the IDF and police to carry out significant proactive actions against draft evaders, including arrests, in the near future. Within approximately two weeks, an interface will be established allowing all government ministries to verify whether individuals seeking services are obligated to enlist. The timeframe between sending the first draft notice and declaring someone a draft evader has also been shortened.
