CENTCOM denies Iranian claims of threatening language against mariners
U.S. Central Command rejected Iran's ambassador to the International Maritime Organization's recent claim that the U.S. military uses "threatening, abusive, and provocative language" against Iranian mariners, calling it false. CENTCOM stated the U.S. blockade against Iran has been professionally communicated for months, and emphasized that Iran is the only country attacking civilian mariners in regional waters. Despite Iranian attacks, commercial traffic continues flowing through the Strait of Hormuz with protection from U.S. forces and regional partners.
