Defense Minister Orders IDF to Transfer West Bank Civilian Enforcement to Police

Israel's Defense Minister has instructed the IDF to prepare a plan transferring all enforcement authority over civilian matters involving Israeli communities and residents in Judea and Samaria to the Israel Police. The minister stated that the IDF's role is to combat Palestinian terrorism and defend borders and communities against threats, while full responsibility for enforcing civilian matters and maintaining law and order will be handed to police forces.
